Vianne Glass was founded in 1928 in the Bordeaux region of France and was the last remaining glass mouth-blowing glassworks in France. The company focused on glassware production. Glasses for lamps, Chandeliers, scones etc, became one of the great speciality of this house.

During 1930s the glasswork develops an opal triplex glass, whose peculiarity is to let the light pass at 90% without dazzling. In 1970s company exports about 60% of products to USA. And of 1980s company faced competition from Asia and first deposit balance. Further financial difficulties followed in 1990s. So that after several takeovers the Vianne factory closed down few years ago, making Vianne glass extremely limited and rare.
